Satrasaya-Suryodaya Road Construction Project

The mud-hilly road linking Satrasaya connected through Prithvi Highway to Suryodaya Primary School in Aanboo Khaireni VDC, Tanahun was constructed following the guidelines outlined in the report, “Guide to Road Repairing and Securing Strategies,” by Jannai Flaschberger, Germany. The constructed mud-hilly road is two and half kilometers from Satrasaya, Prithvi Highway to Suryodaya Primary School, also one kilometer road linking from the mid-section of Satrasaya-Suryodaya Road to Andhimool Temple, Aanboo Khaireni VDC, Tanahun. Satrasaya-Suryodaya Road Construction Project was completed from the fund received from medihimal, Germany and District Development Committee (DDC), Tanahun, and Public Participation and Donations.

  Government of Nepal on constructing Satrasaya-Suryodaya Road, advanced engineering techniques on road profiles were adopted. The road profiles and techniques on reducing erosion and landslide in Satrasaya-Suryodaya Road Project were prioritized and implemented. The road management committee were trained with road maintenance and repairing skills, also a guideline book by Jannai Flaschberger comprising mud hill road maintenance and repairing techniques were provided to the road management committee for future reference for road maintenance and repairing. The newly constructed Satrasaya-Suryodaya Road provided transportation facilities to locals residing in ward-1 of Aanboo Khaireni VDC. The constructed road is serving communities in terms of education and market access, occupation and income, health and hygiene, and access to various services via transportation facilities.
